At NYRC we pride ourselves on the spirit of achievement by participation, where both the club and the individual mutually benefit. We offer a range of rowing options to cater for all levels of capability; Learn to Row, Club Rowing for ages 14 and upwards, training to competitive standard, recreational and social rowing. This course also runs for 6 weeks where you learn the skills required to make you a safe and independent rower ready to embark on your rowing future.
This training is offered to rowers who would like to further their fitness and experience levels to a competitive standard.

Training is 3 times per week under the direction of a Level 2 Coach. Upon completion of a class, students have the option to join Lincoln Park Boat Club for the remainder of the year at a discounted rate to continue rowing and paddling with one of our teams.

These programs are for adults 18 and over. This nine-session class is an introduction to the sport of rowing. This class requires no prior rowing experience and will put you on the path of becoming a skilled rower. Classes will focus on the fundamentals of rowing, including: the basic rowing stroke, water safety, a facility orientation, and equipment handling.
Learn to row and paddle at Lincoln Park Boat Club!
Students will receive instruction in both methods of rowing: sweep one oar and sculling two oars. Upon completion of the class, students will have the option to join Lincoln Park Boat Club for the remainder of the year at a discounted rate. For those who want to learn to row in smaller boats single and double sculls , this three-session class introduces the student to the sport of sculling.
The class is held over three days Sunday morning, Monday and Wednesday evenings. DC Strokes offers rowing programs for all levels and interests.
A Guide to Rowing
Rowers who complete LTR are invited to join the Novice Program, which offers opportunities to continue developing rowing skill, build fitness and strength, and try racing at a couple of local regattas. Your first two weeks of Novice are included in your Learn to Row registration. Classes are held Monday to Thursday, from pm.
At this conclusion of the 2 week period, you will be able to officially join the Novice Program.
